Reservations Terms and Conditions

At Caddon View there aren't many do's and don'ts, but we've put the most important ones here, along with a few other miscellaneous things you might need or like to know before you arrive.

Telephone and online Bookings & Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of £10 per person per night is required when booking by telephone, the balance to be paid on departure.  If booking online we will charge your card the full amount of which £10 per person per night will be treated as a non refundable deposit in the event of cancellation.

CANCELLATION POLICY

If you cancel your stay less than 5 days before arrival then a charge will be incurred equating to the first nights stay.  We will also charge for any subsequent nights that we are unable to re-let.  All deposits paid are forfeited.  If your party takes over 4 or more of our rooms and you cancel up to 14 days before then we reserve the right to charge in full for any rooms we are unable to re-let.

PAYMENT METHODS

We accept Visa or Mastercard credit/debit cards (and also cash for the balance).
Please note: We do NOT accept cheques or AMEX.

Breakages and Damages

Any damage to your room will be charged for retrospectively.

Smoking policy

Caddon View is no smoking. Guests travelling from overseas who may be unfamiliar with Scotland's anti-smoking campaign may wish to visit Clearing the Air

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

Check in is from 4pm onwards although you may check in before mid-day by prior arrangement.  Departure must be by 11am.

Children

An extra (sofa)bed in the room costs £15 per child. All prices include breakfast. Our twin room is ideal for older teenagers.

Dogs

We do allow well behaved dogs only to stay at Caddon View in one of our standard double bedrooms which is on the ground floor. Please note that any damage to the room or any heavy soiling will be charged for.  We request that no dog is allowed on any furniture and you bring a blanket for your pet to sleep on. You must let us know before you arrive if you are bringing your dog.  Pet charges are £5 per night.

Drying Room

Hikers, bikers, fishermen and anyone else who's ended up getting wet and muddy will be glad to know we have a drying room for clothes, waders, etc.

Packed lunches

We're happy to make up packed lunches if requested the day before - handy if you're wanting to make the most of your day on the trails or by the river!

Parking

Caddon View B&B has off-street parking for around six vehicles, with security cameras monitoring the car park. Additional parking is available on the street. If you have particular access needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to ensure you can park as close to your accommodation as possible.
